										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">This PALS module gives the participant an understanding of the part that interpersonal skills play in communication and in forming and maintaining relationships and friendships. Some of the areas covered include: saying thank you, how to disagree politely and without an argument, apologising when we feel its required and being heard and feeling included in conversations.These modules are aimed at children between the ages between 10-14 years old with  with good receptive language skills.</p>
<p><strong>This PALS module is delivered online and starts on Tuesday 04th March, 2025. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Module 1:  04/03/2025 – 3.30pm</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Being right versus being included.</li>
<li>Correcting others or letting it go.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Module 2:  11/03/2025 – 3.30pm</strong></p>

<li>Looking at apologies.</li>
<li>When is an apology needed?</li>
<li>How to say sorry if required..</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Module 3:   18/03/2025 – 3.30pm</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Saying thank you.</li>
<li>When is saying thank you needed?</li>
<li>How to thank another person properly.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Module 4:  25/03/25 – 3.30pm</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Laughing with someone rather than laughing at someone.</li>
<li>How do we tell the difference?</li>
<li>How should we respond?</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Module 5:  01/04/25/25 – 3.30pm</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Being tactful &#8211; what does that mean?</li>
<li>How honest is too honest?</li>
<li>When is the right time to be honest and not hurt others feelings?</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>Module 6: 08/04/25 – 3.30pm</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Disagreements with friends.</li>
<li>How can we disagree without arguing?</li>
<li>Expressing our opinion without hurting the feelings of others. ?</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>How it works:</strong></p>
<p>This programme is delivered online. A weekly zoom link will be sent in advance and we would ask that the participants would log into the programme a few minutes in advance of the start. A quiet space without noise and other distractions is also conducive to getting the most from the programme.</p>
<p><strong>Who will deliver this course?</strong></p>
<p>The course will be delivered by Grace Crowley. Grace has over 10 years experience working with autistic children and has been a presenter on the PALS programme since 2018. Grace was also a key contributor in the development of the online version of the PALS programme.</p>

<p>The course will be delivered by Sirli Sademe. Sirli  has over 5  years experience working with autistic children and is a qualified presenter on the PALS programme.</p>
