Re-thinking Stress:

Dealing with the challenges of everyday life can be stressful for many parents. A lot of the stress we experience is driven by our thoughts and beliefs, because the way we think directly affects the way we feel. As a result, compromised coping, low mood, exhaustion and irritability can all be factors of dealing with ongoing stress. This is an opportunity for parents to focus on their own needs for a couple of hours and to re-think how you deal with stress and look at ways that you can better manage your stress levels and increase your sense of wellbeing.

The Re-thinking stress evening will cover:

What is stress?

How you respond to stress now?

Why beliefs and coping styles matter.

Acceptance and the process of change.

Thinking and responding differently to stressful situations..

Building resilience.

A really important part of these sessions will be listening to parents by creating a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where they can talk openly about their lived experiences.

Format: One evening from 7.30pm to 9pm

Duration: 1.5 hours.
