About Marie: 

Marie is a qualified Play Therapist and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist.

Her work centres on working with the child directly and is therapeutic and relationship based. Marie values the importance of play in young children as an important part of a child’s development. Through play a child develops fine and gross motor skills, social skills, communication skills, language, thinking and problem-solving skills. Play is very much about interaction and a way to connect and understand the child’s world.

During this 1.5 hour presentation Marie will share her own experience as a play therapist and will offer some tips and strategies that parents can use when interacting with their own child.

This an interactive workshop where parents have the opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences.
