Art Therapy Group For Siblings

This is a group for the siblings of autistic children aged between 8 and 11 years of age where the focus is exclusively on the child and how they want to express themselves through their art. Through drawing, painting and collage siblings can express emotions safely, build confidence and connect with themselves as well as other siblings. No artistic skills are needed. The focus is on the process and not the finished product.

Who facilitates the programme

Deirdre Kenny is a qualified Art Therapist who runs the the Art Therapy Programmes at the Shine Centre. She strives to provide a safe, supportive environment for children, adolescents through an intuitive and person-centred approach to create  a calm space for self-expression and healing. And also have some fun and laughter along the way!

​Deirdre is a fully registered member of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists and works in accordance with their professional code of ethics.
